What i did/What it took to make

This is my Fourteenth and hardest AMV. i have made. I started and virtually finished this on the 30 of April. But because of unexpected Windows Movie Maker clip freezes, it has taken me until the first of July to get this done. I cannot stress how much i wanted to get this done. The problems i occured were half way through making the AMV. Windows Movie Maker would stop the clip and i would have to press “Play” again. I thought this was a minor problem. but little did i know that it would potentially stop Windows Movie Maker from saving my movie. What made things worse was that even when i deleted the clip and replaced it with another, it would still freeze.

You may be thinking “If that was all, then why did it take you so long”. My answer is “I got a life”.
I als tried various things from combining clips and risk the syncing of my movie to even changing the music. In between the weeks, i was even thinking of scrapping the whole AMV. In fact, i did! and started again. But the more clips i put in, the more annoyed i felt about how my first original plan would have been flawless. It’s times like that when you begin to question whether the public would have liked the original AMV.
Another thing that went wrong was me getting baffled. The error message that came up said something along the lines of “Windows Movie Maker Cannot Save The Movie Because One Or More Clips Have Not Been Found. Please Find The Original Source Files”. But the only thing is I DID EVERYTHING ON THE SAME PC! surely i could understand if i used the file sharing facility, but this was getting ridiculous.

The Unfinished Story

Continuing from Movie 8; Though fataly wounded, Broly somehow managed to survive the “energy-punch” that killed him and took a space pod to another planet. Unfortunately, upon all the planets he could have landed on, he came across earth and coincidentley crash in the same area where Trunks Videl and Goten were. As he exited the pod, he could barely get on his knees let alone stand up. In one loud scream he cried out “Kakarott!”. This drained his energy and he passed out for a few hours. With this, a liquidized substance was leaking from when he crashed. This mixed with the cold air and froze Broly. Preserving and sealing his body in a tomb of ice
Trunks, Videl and Goten had stayed the night in a village. The chiefs of the village explained that there was a great monster terrorising there land and if not stopped soon, it would completely erase it and them. The Z Warriors took no chances and acted quickly. They prepared an overly large meal to lure the beast. (to cut the story short) Videl, Goten and Trunks were in a large empty bowl waiting for the beast. Goten became hungry and eventually started crying extremely loudly. Miraculously, Broly (who is now believed to be contious remembers the loud cries he experienced while sitting lying next to Goku. The more Goten cried, the more he remembered. His final flashback was when Goku defeated him with a single punch. This filled Broly with enormous rage. He broke free from the ice and this is where the good part of the movie starts. I say this because literally half the film is filled with nonsense. (Videl, Goten and Trunks).

By the way, Broly returns with a newly tanned body, his strength increases the more than ever, scars on the chest from the previous battle and note, he is SSJ the WHOLE way through the film. ^^

Music

The music i chose was to try and create a whole new genre to AMV.s..Sure the perfect AMV. music may be rock/metal, but i try to create something new and var y how i make an AMV. I think music plays a key role in how good an AMV. Is. I used a grime track and it’s called:
Don’t Talk by Sickman feat. Ice Kid. I don’t really have a main reason for chosing this. If there’s any other, then it’s the fact there voices bring the AMV. to life or the effects.

In all, this AMV. took about 3 months to make when it originally took 2 hours.

If you want to know how i resolved this issue, i created a new storyboard. Windows Movie Maker would only let me save until the bit where it froze, so i took those clips out and saved the movie. Unfortunately, it was majorly off-Sync. So i went back to the fresh storyboard, and imported the saved (off-sync) movie. I then paused and cut where it was supposed to play the clips (that made the movie freeze). I did a lot more but i’m typing too much and you must get bored of reading. but yeah, all i did was that X24 (no exaggerations) and at 3:30 PM. I FINALLY completed it.

I say again i cannot stress how relieved i am to finish but also how much hell i put myself through.
In all, i made:
15 .MSWMM files
8.WMV files
2 music cut files
1 final movie
and a relieved soul.
