Fast Cars, Sports Cars - British Performance

Monday, March 24th, 2008

At the end of World War II there was a surge of high performance, fast and sporty cars that began to emerge. The soldiers who were returning home from war were instantly attracted to these fast sports cars, many which were exported by Britain. At that time the British were building high quality sports cars at a price many could afford. The British sports cars were superbly engineered and quickly began taking the sports car world by storm. Their sleek and sporty design made them highly desirable.

The fast and sporty British cars began to really take off when the Triumph came out with the TR2 in 1953. At the time Triumph produced some of the most sought after cars in the world. The United States fell in love with it and soon began seeking other British sports cars.

Taking A Look At The Cars

The brand new Portfolio which is being unveiled in March 2007 brags of a speed of 155 mph and can reach 60 mph in only 4.9 seconds. These come with aerodynamic styling and lower suspension which offers a sportier look and ride. These sport modes are offered in Silver, Black, Blue, Graphite, White, and Red.

Aston Martin is announcing improvements to their famous Vanquish S. This automobile is famous for its luxury and unique style. It was also made famous by James Bond in the movie ??Die Another Day?. The Vanquish S Ultimate Edition will showcase many of the features of the Vanquish s that many Britons love. This edition will be produced in Ultimate Black and this will be the only car available in this color. The interior will be trimmed in leather and stylish black chrome. It will offer a top speed of 200 mph. This car is the result of customer research and request and contains the features most sought after by the public. It also strengthens and lets the systems function effectively. It enhances our immune system and thus prevents diseases.

The scientific name of the Amla tree is Emblica officinalis and it is called amalaki in Sanskrit. It is the greatest and the best natural source of Vitamin C, lacking only the lavan rasa ?” all the other five rasas are present in it. Amalaki possesses the property of being effective in the cold weather ?” it is sheet virya. It contains guru (heavy), ruksh (dry) and sheet (cold) virtues. Hence it is effective in pitta disorders. However it assists in subduing the three intense doshas.

The Amla tree has a medium height ?” varied from 20 ?” 25 feet. The yellow flowers bud from the month of February to the month of May. The greenish yellow fruit is seen from the months of October to April. The tree usually grows 4500 feet above the sea level. The fruit of the tree is utilized.

It is the chief component in chawanprash, triphala and amlaki rasayan. It is used as an alternative for treating diseases like scurvy caused due to vitamin C deficiency. Amalaki, however, works on all other body systems.

This abounds in Vitamin C. The Amalaki juice comprises of almost twenty times as much Vitamin C as the juice of an orange. Treating Hair Loss with Provillus

Friday, March 21st, 2008

Yes, there are many hair loss treatments on the market today. Some make all kinds of life changing promises and some simply get on and do the job you are looking for, regrowth of your hair. This article is about a hair loss treatment which does the latter.

The hair loss product known as Provillus tackles the start of the problem called male pattern baldness. This product works by nourishing the scalp with the much needed vitamins which it needs to regrow thick healthy hair and to prevent further hair loss.

Those brainy science researchers have discovered that one of the main causes of baldness is a hormone which has been identified as DHT (also known as dihydrotestosterone) in the follicles of hair. This hormone has been linked to a very high percentage of hair loss. In all humans, both men and women produce DHT. This hormone shinks the follicles of hair which will cause the scalp to become more fleshy. This in turn reduces the blood circulation to the follicles. So the hair falls out with no re growth.

This is more likely to be seen in men than in women as the male species will produce more DHT than the women. This is the fact as to why men suffer with baldness more than women. But some women can lose as much hair as men. The only difference is that when women suffer with baldness, the hair on the head tends to get thinner and thinner. With men, they usually lose all the hair from a small or larger size area on the scalp. Provillus will work just as well on women as it does on men.

And because Provillus is all natural ingredients (which is good for the whole body and not just the scalp), there are usually no horrible side effects as you can get with may of the prescription based hair loss treatments.

The type of ingredients you??ll find in Provillus Hair Treatment is:
Saw Palmetto (which is an approved ingredient by the FDA for use in hair loss treatments), vitamin B6 (which boosts red blood cells), Biotin (a vitamin that nourishes the hair and scalp), nettle root, zinc, pumpkin oil extract and magnesium.

All good healthy stuff which will help you regain your hair without side effects. And you have nothing to lose by trying Provillus as the manufacturers are so confident of their product, they stand firmly behind it by offering you a full six month guarantee ?” no questions asked.

Ten Teps on Talking with Your Kids about Sex

Friday, March 21st, 2008

Sexuality is a normal part of growing up. For most parents and caregivers, though, sex is often an uncomfortable topic to approach with their kids. Many people say ??I??d rather not? or ??we??ll talk about it later.? Some people fear that talking openly about sex will give the message ??you should have sex and lots of it.? That will depend on the messages that you give. You as a parent or caregiver can be a healthy role model for them, and teach them limits and boundaries while recognizing their natural curiosities.

Teaching children about safety and responsibility is very important to their development. Sharing your values with them openly and giving them reasons behind your values can be very meaningful and can influence children to think before they act. Not speaking with children about sex increases the likelihood of them finding out misinformation from their peers or encourages them to practice unsafe sex. Keeping kids ??in the dark? about sex can be likened to not teaching them household safety; what they don??t know could hurt them.

Children and adolescents often think they are invincible, that they will not get pregnant or contract any sexually transmitted diseases (STD??s) such as HIV, Herpes, or other diseases too numerous to mention. It is important to approach the topic of sexuality, to discuss the pleasures and risks of sex with them. Also, they are heavily influenced by their peers, and want to be accepted. This might cause them to engage in behaviors they otherwise might avoid. ??If all my friends are doing it?.? As a parent, you have the ability to counteract some of the peer pressure with healthy messages.

The following are a few suggestions you may use to discuss sex openly with children and adolescents:

1. Educate yourself about child and teenage sexual development, and safer sex. You can read materials, attend workshops, or watch videos about how to talk you??re your kids about sex before they become sexually active. (The age for this is as young as 10 or 11 nowadays)

2. Start early. Talk with your children about their bodies, including body functions in a way they can understand based on their age. Avoid shaming them for being curious about sexuality.

3. Discuss your values about sex, and why you chose those values.

4. Talk about possible positive and negative outcomes of sexual behavior.

5. As needed, use some age-appropriate educational books, videos, or pamphlets geared to children and adolescents.

6. Allow your children to ask questions about sex, and be as honest as you can with them. If you don??t know how to respond to a question, it is ok to say that you will find out the answer and tell them later.

7. Talk with children and teens about what to expect from their bodies due to hormonal changes, such as development of breasts, menstruation, masturbation, wet dreams, body hair, genitals, etc. so they are not ??freaked out? by these natural changes.

8. Discuss safer sex practices, and unsafe ones. Include information about birth control, risks of various sexual activities such as kissing, petting, and intercourse, as is age appropriate.

9. Take your youngster workshops, sex education classes, or to a clinic so they can have access to information and resources.

10. The best thing that you can do is value your child and adolescent, to encourage them to feel good about their bodies and their minds. A young person??s high self-esteem goes a long way.

If you are too uncomfortable discussing the issues, you can also seek consultation with a therapist that can guide you through. Either way, there is help and resources available.

Whether we like it or not, children and teens are usually curious about sexuality. It is part of growing up. As with other areas of life, it is much better for them to learn the facts from you than to learn myths from someone else. Encourage them to make informed and healthy decisions. Make yourself available to them as a listener and resource in case things to go awry. Try to explain things simply and clearly, without judging them or lecturing. There are no guarantees that they won??t rebel, act irresponsibly, or find themselves in troubling circumstances. These are just some ways to increase their chances of staying safe, protecting them; otherwise, you are leaving them to their own devices, or in the hands of strangers to teach them that which is your right and responsibility as a parent.

Sometimes, you may need additional support or intervention. You might want to access a local agency or find a counselor or coach that can help you and your kids succeed and thrive!

Viagra: Takes You Back to Manhood

Friday, March 21st, 2008

Male impotence is such a nightmare that every man shudders to think of it. But still the fact is that sometime or the other in his life, every man has to confront with erectile dysfunction, or to say in a common man??s language, impotence, for some or the other reason. A man??s psychology plays a great role in the sexual relationship of a man. If he is depressed, stressed or tensed it will surely have an impact on his sexual relationship too. Often the anxiety about a man??s sexual performance makes him more stressed and therefore his performance degrades even further. Erectile dysfunction or ED-the inability to have or maintain an erection long enough to enjoy a satisfactory sexual intercourse, is afflicting nearly 30 million men in America alone and is a cause of great worry for them.

The answer to all such performance problems lies in the little blue magic pill-Viagra. Viagra has been a boon to all such men who have erectile dysfunction for any reason or may be suffering from a minor to a major degree of male sexual dysfunction. Since the launch of Viagra there has been a great enthusiasm in the patients of erectile dysfunction whether suffering due to physical reasons or psychological reasons. Viagra revives that feeling of self-esteem and the feeling of manliness which seems to be lost if you are suffering from ED. Viagra works by increasing the flow of blood in the penile region of a man making it erect. The sexual lives of innumerable men have improved because they now have got Viagra. With Viagra around, you do not have to go to bed stressed, thinking about your low sexual performance.

Viagra can proudly claim to be the first anti-impotence oral pill. The basic chemical composition is of sildenafil citrate. It is this chemical which treats the male sexual dysfunction, known as erectile dysfunction. Medically, erectile dysfunction is the inability to have an erection or the inability to have it long enough to enjoy the sexual intercourse satisfactorily. Many people have the misconception that Viagra would increase their libido or sexual desire for a great sex, but those people are greatly mistaken. Viagra can surely be called a sex pill, but for that matter it is not a libido enhancer drug at all. Viagra simply acts on the chemicals or enzymes present in our body due to which there is an enhanced flow of blood in the penis region making it grow harder and cause an erection. So people who are suffering from erectile dysfunction can highly benefit from this drug if they want to have a great sex life in spite of their male sexual dysfunction.

European Footballer of the Year Candidates

Friday, March 21st, 2008

Real Madrid president, Ramon Calderon announced that his newly signed Italian centre-back Fabio Cannavaro had won the prestigious Ballon D??Or, or Golden Ball, and was to replace Ronaldinho as the European Footballer of the year. This came to the surprise of many and rose more than a few eyebrows. Not, through the fact that Cannavaro had been the selection, far from it given his dominant displays during the World Cup, but due to the fact that the winner of the much hyped award is not actually announced until 27th November. Surely this means one of two things. The first of these is that France Football, the magazine that actually host the prize, have a mole in the camp and need to seriously bolster their security, alternatively Senor Calderon is living up to the traditions of the Madridistas and filling newspaper columns with self gratifying propaganda.

If it was a media frenzy that Calderon wanted, then he will be a happy man. Italian newspapers were not slow in announcing: ??Cannavaro, it’s all true.? (Gazzetta dello Sport) and: ??Golden Ball to Cannavaro.? (Corriere della Sera). Despite the excitable nature of the Italian media, it would appear that the issue is done and dusted. Which would change the purpose of this article from a preview of the front-runners, to a selection of the nearly men. However, the famous trophy is not yet causing the Italian skipper feng shui difficulties at chez Cannavaro and so I will continue with my initial intentions.

The Ballon D??Or was created in 1956 by France Football magazine. At a time when Europe had begun to come out from the hangover of World War II a decade earlier, and football was enjoying its progression as a worldwide game. The inaugural European Cup (now known as the UEFA Champions League) was played out in the same year, and Stanley Matthews, the Blackpool winger was pronounced as Europe??s first Player of the Year. In the years that followed, the awards were dominated by the all conquering Madrid side, their forward Alfredo di Stefano claiming the title twice. The very idea of the award showed that football was now a sport that could bring people of different countries together, such an important factor when we consider that much of the continent had been a battlefield little over a decade before. Despite being held by France??s leading football publication, the award is based upon the considered opinion of journalists Europe-wide.

The award has been pretty evenly distributed around the leading lights of European club football over the years, Juventus lead the way with a total of eight winners (a total that could well have been further extended had the Calciopoli match fixing scandal not intervened), AC Milan (seven), Barcelona (six), Real Madrid (five) and Bayern Munich (five) all follow. Of course we must take into consideration that the award ceremony is traditionally held in November of every year, so many victorious players may well have been at new clubs at the time of the award, having earned the plaudits that lead to the prize at another side (both Luis Figo and Ronaldo are examples of this, having only moved to Madrid a few months prior to the presentation). The only major change in the award since it began came in 1995 when it was decreed that the winner need not be European in nationality himself, merely have his contract held by a club that comes under UEFA??s jurisdiction (much to the delight of the Liberian forward George Weah who took full advantage of the rule change in 1995).

An obvious start point for such an award would be to begin where we left off last year. The Brazilian Ronaldinho, who won last years award (to sit proudly on the mantelpiece next to his World Player of the Year award) to reconfirm him as being regarded as the planet??s finest player. The Barcelona man, by his very high standards, had a disappointing year. Despite adding the Champions League to his collection of medals, he was relatively below par in the World Cup (a competition that usually can be considered the deciding factor for the award) as his Brazilian side (and pre-tournament favourites) limped out in the quarter finals having been widely tipped to take a sixth title. Of his compatriots, only really Kaka?? shone in Germany and unfortunately the AC Milan forward ended the season medal-less despite enhancing his growing reputation as a force to be reckoned with in world football, and possible future winner of the award.

As we have previously examined, major tournaments often have a large impact on who is to be the recipient of the award. Take, for example, Ronaldo??s Ballon D??Or of 2002. Following yet another injury plagued season in Italy with Internazionale, el phenominon (as he is known by his adoring fans) turned it on in the Far East to help Brazil claim a fifth World Cup, scoring an incredible eight goals along the way and exorcised the some of the demons of his breakdown in the 1998 competition. Although many commented that surely seven games does not make a season, Ronaldo, who had since joined the Galacticos of Madrid, took the coveted prize.

From this theory, we can assume that this year??s victor will most likely hail from Italy. As previously mentioned, all of this talk is fairly irrelevant as Fabio Cannavaro has been, although as yet unconfirmed, declared by his club??s president as the winner. In reality, should this be the case, few could argue. The Italian captain was a lion in the heart of the formidable Italian defence that provoked headlines of ?campione del mondo?? (?champions of the world??) across the Mediterranean peninsula. However, the 33 year old former Juventus man is himself not getting as excited as his President (at least not before the famous ?fat lady?? has had her moment). Cannavaro has said: “Of course I would like to win it. It would be wonderful and very gratifying on a personal level.”

As well as the Madrid man, Italy can boast strong claims for the award through both midfielder Andrea Pirlo and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. Pirlo, during the previous season with Milan, and the World Cup with his nation, enhanced the reputation that he had, in his early career at least, threatened without ever achieving. Some superb displays in the heart of the Azzuri??s midfield raised Pirlo??s profile to be rated amongst the continent??s finest in his position, although lack of success on the domestic front may have cost him. More interesting though, is the calls for the award to be given to Gigi Buffon. The Juventus and Italy stopper has long been regarded as the finest in the World in his position. In Germany, Buffon further embellished this claim. Some heroic performances, most notably in the semi final against the hosts and his penalty saving performance to claim the trophy in the final, gave credence to him becoming only the second goalkeeper to win the award. In claiming the Ballon D??Or he would truly claim a place amongst the greats as the only other ?number one?? to have won the award was the Russian Lev Yashin in 1963. He also has the support of Italy legend, and former European Footballer of the Year, Gianni Rivera. Upon hearing of Cannavaro??s premature victory, Rivera proclaimed: “I would have chosen Italy keeper Gianluigi Buffon but if it is true that Fabio is to win it, I’m happy anyway.”

If the Golden Ball is to head to Italy, it will be the country??s forth winner after Rivera himself (1969), Paolo Rossi (1982) and Roberto Baggio (1993).

However, not all are in agreement that the award should be given to an Italian. Upon hearing Ramon Calderon??s claims, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reacted in typically defiant fashion: “Congratulations to Cannavaro if that’s the case,” Wenger said Friday. “But for me there’s only one candidate this year, it’s Thierry Henry. He just deserves it.

In retrospect, this is a fair argument. Henry appeared in both of the showpiece events in world football during 2006, and despite being on the losing side in both the World Cup and Champions League finals, getting to both is a testament to the man. Henry is widely regarded to have been the best striker in world football of the past few seasons. Consistently the English Premiership??s leading marksman and considered amongst the finest ever to have graced these shores, so perhaps, for once, Mr Wenger has seen something, he went onto say: “What does he have to do? Just to keep going. Sometimes you get rewarded at the moment where you expect it the least. That’s as well the sign of a superchamp.”

Other possible contenders are pretty thin on the ground. Samuel Eto??o of Barcelona was at his explosive best helping propel his side to titles in both La Liga and the Champions League, although not appearing in the summer??s festival of football due to Cameroon??s failure to qualify did not help his cause, as neither did the long term knee injury that will keep the striker out of action until the new year. The Portuguese midfielder Deco is another who has been mentioned in relation to the award. The diminutive string puller was considered to have been as, if not more, vital than Ronaldinho to Barcelona??s success last term. Another option, and one for the romantics, would be if the award was to go to Zinedine Zidane. The mercurial Frenchman finally hung up his golden boots during the summer after dragging his nation to the final. Some imposing performances from the one di Stefano dubbed ?the maestro?? won Zizou the World Cup Golden Ball for being the tournament??s most outstanding player. However, we all know how it ended and, head-butts aside, the play-maker had a relatively poor season with Real Madrid.

With all considered, I feel I am largely discussing the competitors in a race already won. From a personal perspective I find this somewhat disappointing as it appears to be the closest competition for the award for some time. Not that I do not perceive Cannavaro a worthy winner, we have to go all the way back to Franz Beckenbauer in 1976 to find our last defender to have won the prize in a roll-of-honour dominated by players more accustomed to creating and scoring goals rather than stopping them. In this similar vein it would appear that given our three perceived favourites of Cannavaro, Buffon and Henry, only one is a striker. Perhaps a reflection upon the changing face of football? Perhaps merely a reflection of an Italian World Cup win? Either way, for me it is sad that such a prestigious award may not be announced with all of the pomp and ceremony that the eventual winner would undoubtedly deserve.

Meth Use and Symptoms - What are the Signs and Symptoms of Methamphetamine Use

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Speed, meth, chalk. In its smoked form, it is often referred to as ice, crystal, crank, or glass. Those are all street names for methamphetamine (mAMP). Call it what you may, but meth use and its symptoms are one in the same. If it’s taken in large doses, methamphetamine’s frequent effects are irritability, aggressive behavior, anxiety, excitement, auditory hallucinations, and paranoia along with delusions and psychosis. Meth abusers tend to be violent. Mood changes are also common, and the abuser can rapidly change from friendly to hostile. The paranoia produced by methamphetamine abuse results in suspiciousness, hyperactive behavior, and dramatic mood swings.

Meth appeals to drug abusers because it increases the body’s metabolism and produces euphoria, increases alertness, and gives the abuser a sense of increased energy. High doses or chronic use of meth, however, increases nervousness, irritability, and paranoia. The extreme paranoia that meth abusers can experience is often associated with a distorted tendency toward violence. Adverse consequences of meth abuse include the risk of stroke, heart failure, and prolonged psychosis.

Methamphetamine use has three patterns: low intensity, binge, and high intensity.

Low-intensity abuse describes a user who is not psychologically addicted to the drug and who administers the drug by swallowing or snorting it. Binge and high-intensity abusers are psychologically addicted and prefer to smoke or inject meth to achieve a faster and stronger high. The binge and high-intensity patterns of abuse differ in the frequency in which the drug is abused. While the binge pattern of abuse has seven stages within its cycle: rush, high, binge, tweaking, crash, normal, and withdrawal-the high-intensity abuse pattern usually does not include a state of normalcy or withdrawal.

“Tweakers”, which are referred to those who are at the most dangerous state of meth abuse, is a meth user who is tweaking. This meth abuser probably has not slept in 3-15 days and, consequently, the symptoms would be irritability and paranoia. A tweaker does not need provocation to behave or react violently, but confrontation increases the chances of a violent reaction. If the tweaker is using alcohol, his negative feelings and associated dangers intensify.

Several hours after the last meth use, the individual experiences a drastic drop in mood and energy levels. Sleep begins and may last for a long period and, upon awakening, severe depression exists that may last for days. While users are in this depressed state, suicide is a major concern. These meth abuse symptoms occur after meth use and may be reversed by taking another dose of methamphetamine, thereby fitting the definition for a withdrawal syndrome.

Now, get out your pen and paper and take notes if you see these short term effects in your teenager or loved one. Short term meth abuse symptoms are increased alertness, sense of well-being, paranoia, intense high, hallucinations, aggressive behavior, increased heart rate, convulsions, extreme rise in body temperature (as high as 108 degrees which can cause brain damage and death), uncontrollable movements (twitching, jerking, etc…), violent behavior, insomnia, impaired speech, dry and itchy skin, premature aging, rotting teeth, loss of appetite, acne, sores and numbness.

Some of the effects that meth abuse has on the mind are also symptoms of meth use. These meth use symptoms are disturbed sleep, excessive excitation, excessive talking, panic, anxiousness, nervousness, moodiness and irritability, false sense of confidence and power, delusions of grandeur leading to aggressive behavior, uninterested in friends, sex, or food, aggressive and violent behavior, and severe depression.

After excessive meth abuse, there are long term effects as well, such as fatal kidney and lung disorders, possible brain damage, depression, hallucinations, disorganized lifestyle, permanent psychological problems, violent and aggressive behavior, weight loss, insomnia, behavior resembling paranoid schizophrenia, decreased social life, malnutrition, poor coping abilities, disturbance of personality development, lowered resistance to illnesses, liver damage, stroke and the inevitable, death.

There are also withdrawal symptoms that a meth abuser will partake in when coming off of meth or “crashing”. If you see the symptoms of severe cravings, insomnia, restlessness, mental confusion or depression, chances are that the meth is exiting their system.

If you have been watching your teenager or loved one and your suspicians are pointing into the direction of meth abuse and you are seeing the symptoms of meth abuse, don’t ignore them. Go with your instincts and in a loving and caring manner, let your teen or loved one know that you will help them seek the counseling they need to rid themselves of meth or any other drug abuse.. If you continue to see the signs and symptoms of meth use, you may either want to take your teen or loved one to his/her doctor or other medical professional and ask them to screen for the use of illegal substances. If you’re not comfortable with revealing your suspcians to an outsider, it is also possible to screen your teenager or loved one in the privacy of your own home with home urine drug testing kits, saliva drug testing kits and hair drug testing kits.

Forex Trading and Risk-Return ratio

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Forex trading is fast becoming the top method of making money on the internet and plenty of average people are trying their hand at becoming millionaires. For most people, forex trading is a much needed source of a second income, to supplement their current single income from their main profession. However, the true potential to become very wealthy is not tapped by most such investors and they earn mere pennies on the dollar, compared with what they could be earning. While everyone has their own forex currency trading system, this will be in proportion to your risk appetite and will only bring the returns that you strive for.

While there are many ways to invest your money in currency, most people play safe by either investing small amounts or spreading their money very thin across the various currencies they are invested in. This makes for a very small return but practically no risk potential, since the bases are mostly covered so that if one currency depreciates, the other appreciates and the losses are minimal. However, clearly this will never make the forex trader a millionaire.

Life is short, and most forex trading millionaires made their money fast off the forex market. These individuals are generally highly leveraged, because they know that money makes money, and the more money they invest, the greater the risk and the greater the potential reward. Also, betting on unlikely currencies is risky and can have a huge potential upside.

So what exactly will leveraging yourself mean for you? You can start with a portfolio, meaning that you put your investment towards buying a part of the forex trading. Then, you buy shares of the forex trading the world over, depending on what countries appeal to you. The prices of these shares may rise slowly to increase your portfolio, and you are still playing safe. Once your total portfolio value goes over the 5000 dollar mark, you as a forex trader can apply for something known as a console, which now puts you in the position to act as an agent for others. At this point, you can process exchanges for small investors who want to buy and sell currencies through you. For each transaction processed, you will earn a fee of 6% and this can roll into your portfolio, increasing further, making your status as a forex trader more credible.

Other than an unlikely event such as a war or natural calamity, nothing on the forex market will give you a sudden unexpected windfall. Do not expect to become a millionaire over night. You will have to plan and strategize, and most importantly, leverage yourself, to truly make a lot of money. The forex market will generally move like the stock market, in small digits and only when you have plenty of money spread out on the forex market do you stand a chance of making a great deal of profit.

While this type of trading is not for the faint hearted, experience in forex trading will bring some confidence to your forex trading strategy, especially as you learn which systems work for you and which don’t. As your level of confidence grows, the process will seem much less daunting. However, it is great to be cautious and be sure of any risks you take. That said, do remember that millionaires are always highly leveraged in the forex market - take calculated risks.

Increase Creativity: How To Achieve Your Creative Goals

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

For many of us, it’s all too easy to get stuck and frustrated in many areas of our lives by falling into ways of thinking that are based on “conditional happiness”.

For example, we may believe that we’ll be completely happy and totally worry free when and ONLY when we have a certain amount of money, or when we meet the right partner, or when we finish a creative masterpiece.

Another variation on this is saying “I’m going to start that project ??WHEN I have the right inspiration”, “…WHEN I’m in the right mood”, or the eternally popular “…WHEN I have enough time”.

Are any of these sounding familiar? Well you’re not alone!

By believing that these fixed pre-conditions are necessary for our happiness - often things that we don’t actually have specific or clear measurements of anyway - and then finding they never quite arrive when and how we expect them to, we set ourselves up for much frustration, procrastination, even anger, and can trigger off spirals of negative inner thoughts and criticism.

The fact is, the idealistic conditions we set out in this way will NEVER arrive, because of the way we’re thinking. And even if we get very close to them, by being in this frame of thinking, we inevitably will add other conditions to the list.

“Yes I’ve got enough money now, and I have the time, but I can’t start today because I got out of the wrong side of bed this morning and the planets are in COMPLETELY the wrong alignment…”

So what’s the alternative, how can we overcome this?

Consider the words of the Taoist Philosopher Lao Tzu -

“A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.”

By taking the first step towards what we want to achieve and then taking regular consistent action thereafter, as well as moving towards our goals or dreams, we also gain greater clarity about what they are, and make them more real.

Each time we take action, we can look at how it’s moved us towards what we really want and whether it’s right for us.

If we feel we’re heading in the right direction, that’s great, we can keep taking successive action steps in this direction and build momentum and motivation.

If we come to a point of feeling “this isn’t quite the right direction for me”, that’s great too, as eliminating something we know we don’t want gives us greater clarity about what we DO want.

So we can re-adjust our focus, try something different and take action in that direction. And soon we find we’re back on the right track again.

So how can you incorporate this into YOUR life?

What is YOUR first step towards one of your goals or ambitions going to be?

Maybe it’s to write an outline for a book. Maybe it’s research a course in something new you want to learn. Maybe it’s to make that phonecall to a useful new contact you’ve been putting off?

Whatever it is, write it down with a date and time you’re going to do it and commit to it.

Make that first step TODAY.

You’ve got nothing to lose. And then, take another step tomorrow. And the day after that and the day after that…

Be bold, be brave, don’t wait around for the perfect conditions to arrive, they never will.

You have the power and resources to create your own!
